Description: 

Deeply russeted apple with a yellow background. Traditional hard cider apple iscovered in Herefordshire england in 1850.  Makes a medium bittersweet cider can be used stand alone or adds a the bittersweet component to hard cider.
 

Uses:

Hard cider, bittersweet

 

Harvest:

Late, Matures late October to November

 

Pollinators: 

Partially self fertile, Northern Spy, Stoke Red, Dabinett

 

White flowered crabapples also serve as a good pollinator.
