Red Gravenstein apple tree is a red sport of Gravenstein apple but sweeter. Skin is a deep solid crimson and apples hang beautifully on the tree. The Red Gravenstein has a white, crisp, sweet, full-bodied flesh. This strain stood out among an orchard of Red Gravensteins in Graton, California in the 1800’s.
